David Marcus Clinic Photos

Hannah Beebe captured some lovely photos of Cupid at the clinic.  Seeing these really helped put together the things David said during the ride.  Of course being a bit self-critical the first thing that stuck out to me was yes David is right, even though I felt like I was sitting vertical I still need to lean back more.  And my elbows are a bit better but still need more bend.  But beyond that I though wow Cupid is moving out nicely!  Ok I get it now, focus on getting this push and as he develops muscle and learns to carry himself the "frame" will come.
Tracking up!
We're both concentrating here

Legs for days
And a very cute photo of Cupid wanting to cuddle with David after our session!
I love you David!!
Plus a portrait.

I kind of wish my turnout had been sharper, but I was dressing for the heat.  So coolmax saddle pad, and I'm wearing tights instead of breeches which is probably a huge faux pas but at least I still had a belt and didn't pass out 😶.  I brought white polo wraps but ended up not using them because I thought Cupid would be more comfortable without, and I figured we wouldn't be doing crazy lateral work anyhow.  Sorry David, no disrespect meant!!

  1. aw those are some nice shots!! Cupid looks super happy too! i always find it super super helpful to have pictures from lessons for the exact reason you say above: it helps me better understand what the trainer is saying and trying to get me to do

    1. That's the most important thing for me - that we're both enjoying the work :)

    1. I wish I could have watched some of the other riders but unfortunately I wasn't able to. I think our next few shows will be in the east bay but I'll let you know if we're ever heading up your way.

  3. Cupid is a very handsome hors and you guys look good in the photos. He looks like he tries very hard for you.

I never put on polos, even for a clinic. It heats their legs up too much. I haven't been asked to specifically do that so don't know how I will phrase 'no' but I'll cross that bridge if/when I come to it. I can't really tell you are in tights in the photos either.

    1. Thanks! I did get "climate control" polos, and I'm sure he would have been fine wearing them, but I think probably still a little more comfortable without them. If my trainer had been there I probably would have put them on, she's kind of a stickler :p
